Hello, and welcome to Mountain Home Junior High School. It is my pleasure to be the principal. This is my 17th year in education with 7 of those coming as a building principal. For the past 6 years, I was at the elementary level. One of the many things I am looking forward to this year is getting to see some of the students who I knew at the elementary level beginning when they were in kindergarten. My passion is to develop strong relationships with students from all backgrounds. I am a firm believer in communicating expectations and then holding students accountable. I believe that each student can and will raise to the occasion if they know what is expected. I absolutely enjoy working with some of the best kids in Idaho.  I want to thank all the parents and family members of MHJH Tiger students for trusting me and my staff to take care of your students. Together, I believe that we can make the junior high experience a positive one for everyone.

Hello, my name is Nick Schamber and I am the Vice Principal of Mountain Home Junior High.  I have been in education for 32 years.  I have been a social studies teacher at the junior high level for 28 years and in the Spring of 2018 I received my masters degree in Educational Leadership from Boise State University.  In the fall of the same year, I accepted the vice principal position at the junior high and everyday, it's been an adventure!  In addition to being vice principal, I am also the athletic director for the junior high.  I enjoy working with the students and parents here at the junior high.  My wife and I have been married for 29 years and we have 3 children and one grandchild.  I truly believe that this year is going to be our best school year!!
