• RETURNING STUDENT REGISTRATION -- School starts on August 15, 2023

    Your student is considered a returning student if:
    • They were enrolled in the Mountain Home School District on the last day of the prior school year. (End of May 2023)
                                  and
    • They will continue in the same school or
    • They will transfer between an elementary school and Hacker Middle school or
    • They will transfer between Hacker Middle and the Jr High or
    • They will transfer between the Jr High and the High School
     
     
     
    All returning students to the Mountain Home School District will be asked to complete the registration process in the Powerschool Parent Portal in May of each year for the upcoming school year. This allows those students to automatically rollover into the upcoming school year.

    The PowerSchool App cannot be used to register for school.

    If you complete the May Registration you do not need to register again in August; however, your child's school may require additional registration information from you, so please double check your school's webpage for more information.

    Access to the ​Parent Portal will be turned off during the summer break and will be available again in August.

    Login to the Powerschool Portal using a parent account

    If needed, we recommend using the built-in password recovery feature found on the login page. Begin by requesting your username even if you believe you know it.
     
    •  Office staff at each school building can assist you with recovering the username and password for your Portal account. A picture ID will be required. This information will not be given over the phone or through email.
    • Student accounts are not active prior to the first day of school.
    Registering in May

    Follow the links in the Portal to complete the registration process
    • Verify/update student demographic data
    • Verify/update Emergency Messaging contact information
    • Contact the bus company to update your information (if applicable)
    Complete the process for each student

    High School and Junior High School schedules will not be available until after August 2, and the online registration is completed.

    Applications for Free/Reduced Meals are not available until August.
     
     Registering in August through April

    Follow the links in the Portal to complete the registration process:
    • Verify/update student demographic data
    • Verify/update Emergency Messaging contact information
    • Complete the Free/Reduced Meals Application (if applicable)
    • Visit the MealTime website to pay for student meals online (optional)
    • Contact the bus company to update your information (if applicable)​
    • Complete the process for each student
    High School and Junior High School schedules will not be available until after August 2, and the online registration is completed.

    ​K-6 schedules will not be posted until the end of the day on Friday, Aug 11, 2023.
     
    Elementary students transferring to a different elementary school within the school district

    Parents may complete the registration process in the Portal as normal, but must first contact the gaining school to notify the office of the transfer. Parents are also responsible for following up with the gaining school to make sure records have been transferred prior to the start of school. An Open Enrollment/Out-of-​Zone form is required.
    • Should enrollment at one of the elementary schools exceed the appropriate numbers of students per grade, Out-of-Zone students will be transferred back to their home zone elementary school according to the date the student applied for the Out-of-Zone authorization. All Out-of-Zone Applications are only valid for one school year and must be resubmitted annually.
