March Announcements

I’m telling you, things are heating up!  Lots of important things on the horizon/ lots of fun times ahead! The end of the 3rd quarter is closing in (March14); help us continue to motivate our students to finish strong and enjoy the experience!

Pertinent dates/information for March:

  • 3/1 and 3/15 - SDE Engagement Survey: Students will participate in the State Department of Education’s Engagement Survey (you should have received a separate Blackboard message regarding this).

  • 3/8 - Senior Project Elements Due: (Seniors only) resumes and reflection papers due to your Tutorial teacher

  • 3/8 - Senior Group (Drone) Photo: Seniors will meet and take a group photo during Tutorial

  • 3/10 - PD Day: No school for students

  • 3/12 - Daylight Savings Time Begins

  • 3/17 - St. Patrick’s Day

  • 3/21 - 5/3 - ISAT Window for MHHS: This year, the State Department of Education changed this test to (instead of 10th graders) 11th graders taking the ELA and Math assessments. The Science assessment was already 11th grade only, so this will be their first time taking this particular exam. If students scored high enough on the Math and ELA exams as 10th graders (made the 11th grade “cut score”), they would be exempt from taking these two exams this year.  Otherwise, they will take all 3 assessments. These assessments help us see where we are in terms of proficiency in these 3 core subject areas. See when each of these will be administered: 2023 ISAT Schedule.

  • 3/22 - MHHS Career Fair: grade levels will be released at specific times to go down to the gym and gym foyer area to talk with a variety of businesses, entrepreneurs, college representatives, military folks, and much more.  (12:35 PM - 2:45 PM)

  • 3/22 @ 7PM - MHHS Gymnasium “Carnage on the Court '': come watch the MHHS wrestlers take on the MHHS Boys' BasketballTeam in a basketball game and then face off again in a wrestling tournament!

  • 3/27 - 3/31 - Spring Break - No school
