In late April of this year, the Mountain Home High School Library received an e-mail note from Lynda Paffrath who asked if we would like to place a book in our High School library collection that chronicled the personal life and career of Lt. James L. Badley, a graduate from Mountain Home High School who was killed in Vietnam. Ms. Paffrath corresponded via e-mail that she also graduated from Mountain Home High School in 1962 as Lynda Twyman.   Lt. James Badley, a F-4 Phantom pilot was reported as MIA Vietnam March 27, 1968, but later reported as KIA on May 8, 1968.  Angels Unknown isn’t just any story; it is our story, written by one of our own, about one of our own, our town, and our air force base during the historical time of the Vietnam era.
