Artopia

    Students that join Artopia love Art and they want to be around others that love Art also!  This group meets at lunch on the first Fridays in Mrs. Raub's classroom.  Meetings are important to attend because there are always opportunities occurring that you won't know about unless you're at the meeting.  There are a lot of projects that Artopia takes part in just for the sake of spreading Art around the school and the community!  So, if you're a student at MHHS get involved and join Artopia or even a different club!

In January 2003, Artopians went to a Portfolio Fair in Portland, Oregon.  It was a great learning experience to get their artwork critiqued by art colleges.  It was also a little intimidating but well worth the efforts of traveling there!

Elementary Art Outreach

With all of the mandates, Elementary teachers don't have a lot of time to include art lessons in their day.  Artopia wants to spread art throughout the community and so they have started to teach art lessons to Mrs. Cauffman's second grade class. Here are some samples of their efforts.
