General Art (1005)
10-11-12, 1 Semester

A general introduction to art, with emphasis on basic design composition, and the use of a variety of media. Written tests over materials covered. This course is a prerequisite for all higher-level art classes. Art fee.

Crafts (1024)
10-11-12, 1 Semester
Prerequisite. General Art. Emphasis is on thinking and designing creatively with a variety of materials. Students will on occasion bring inexpensive supplies from home. Art fee.
Pottery/Sculpture (1030)
10-11-12, 1 Semester
Prerequisite. General Art. Emphasis will be on 3-D forms of modeling, carving
and constructing primarily with clay and may include papier-mâché, plaster or wood.  Students will on occasion bring inexpensive supplies from home. Art fee.
Advanced Pottery/Sculpture (1034)
11-12, Semester 1
Prerequisite. General Art and a grade of A in Pottery and Sculpture or its equivalent, plus written permission of the
instructor. In-depth study of advanced concepts in pottery and sculpture, for the self-motivated art student with exceptional ability and interest. Art fee.
