WebQuests were originally conceived by Bernie Dodge and Tom March.  Dodge defines a WebQuest as "...an inquiry-oriented activity in which some or all of the information that learners interact with comes from resources on the internet."  (Dodge, 1997)   The focus of a WebQuest is on evaluating and using information.
