The new Idaho Immunization Law (code 39-480)1 requires that all 7th grade students receive the following immunizations for the 2014-2015 school year - before admittance.
The State Department of Health and Welfare, Immunization Program, has done an audit on our school’s immunization records and according to our records your child is missing one or both of these immunizations. Please review your child’s immunization record or check the status with your child’s physician and provide a current updated copy to the office.
IMMUNIZATIONS MUST BE COMPLETE AND PARENTS MUST PROVIDE THE SCHOOL WITH RECORD OF THE NEW IMMUNIZATIONS.
The only requirement for school supplies is a three ring binder that is at least 2 inches with tabs (can be made or purchased) to create sections for each class. Last year the school was able to purchase binders for every student with Title One funds. However, we will not be able to do this again for the upcoming school year. The goal in establishing a schoolwide binder is to teach students a life-long skill in staying organized. Some students struggled with learning this skill, which is expected and they ended up having a walking file cabinet which is not the intention. Please refer to the link on the left MHJH AVID, to see an example that was created by our AVID students in 2013.
Recommended: Pencil Pouch, 2 Highlighters and Eraser
Note: Some teachers may request that students have an additional notebook for writing purposes. Students will be able to purchase blank Cornell Note paper from the office, if desired.

Attention all those interested in JH sports participation:
Students will need a current physical on file at the JH office. One physical is all that is required during a student’s JH activities career; however, an Interim Questionnaire must be complete each year a physical is not conducted. Other paperwork that must be completed each year are the Emergency Contact Information, the Athletic Release and Participation Information, and the Athletic Participation Agreement. All can be found in the handbook on the MHJH Sports page or picked up in the office.
An Activity Card ($7.50) is required and should be paid for in the office (please see Mrs. Wing).
Spirit Packs will be available with all sports having options for $25 or less. The coaches will have more information regarding spirit packs.
