These animations will help guide you through the exercises you can complete ON YOUR OWN!

You start by laying on the mat or carpet or even grass, knees bent, and arms behind the head. You rise up and forward until your chest touch your elbows to your raised (bent) knees. Once this happens, the you must then go back to the starting position. You may have a partner hold your feet in place if you would like or you can stick your feet under a couch or something to hold them in place. A better alternative for children is to do a curl up. You go through the same basic motion but instead of putting your hands behind your head you cross your arms across your chest making an X.

You start by hanging on the bar with arms fully extended, feet not touching ground. Your hands must grab the bar. A chin-up has the palms facing in (picture of female), while a pull-up has the palms facing out (picture of male and boy). You must pull their self up until the chin is slightly above the bar. Once this is accomplished, then you must then go back down to the starting position. You may not push off any walls or swing legs or arms in an effort to build momentum back up.

You start in the elevated push-up position. The body must be perfectly straight, head facing forward. You lower your body to the down position by bending at the elbows. Once your chest touches the ground, without resting on the ground, you proceed back up to the starting position. You should not bounce off the floor in an effort to gain momentum back to the up position. Your knees should not touch the ground.

You start with your hands at your sides and your feet about shoulder width apart in a resting position. You start by swinging your arms up from your sides where they will meet above your head. As soon as you start swinging your arms you also start swinging your legs into an outward position. Your legs will move out to about 2-3 times your shoulder width. To complete the jumping jack bring your arms and legs back in to the resting position.

Jumping Rope is as easy as counting to 3! 1. Position the rope behind your heels. Start swinging the rope forward above your head. 2. Look up slightly. When you get to the count of two get ready. On 3, JUMP! Keep trying! This isn't something you are going to get on your first try. If you do, you might be a PRO!
