 Programs

  • It is our responsibility to provide for the educational needs of all students within the district.
  • It is our responsibility to implement an ongoing system to locate and identify students with disabilities through coordination, public awareness, screening, and referral.
  • It is our responsibility to provide appropriate educational programs for all eligible students with identified disabilities ages three through twenty-one.
  • It is our responsibility to provide programs which are modified to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities utilizing appropriate accommodations.
  • It is our responsibility to recognize that active parental and community involvement are key elements in meeting student needs.  Therefore, we are dedicated to creating opportunities for meaningful links between the school and community.
Our special services department exercises the team concept of networking to fulfill the district's responsibility of educating students with disabilities.  Teaming and networking are utilized throughout the district to facilitate students' programming in the least restrictive environment (LRE).
