Building Facts

On September 7, 1995, patrons approved a $10 million bond to construct a new school to be built in two phases.  Passage of the bond authorized the school district to construct Phase I, a junior high school for eighth and ninth grade students.   Growth in enrollment and approval of the patrons for funding will dictate when Phase II will be constructed, which will effectively turn the facility into a four year high school.

The building is over 98,000 square feet, divided into three main areas.  The first area consists of a gymnasium, choir/band room and entry hall. The Media Center and Commons Area make up the second area, with the academic/classroom wing being the third area.   Phase II of the project will see the addition of a competition gymnasium, additional music facilities, and another academic/classroom wing.

The building was turned over to the school district as significantly complete on March 21, 1998.  The building opened as a junior high school, housing eighth and ninth graders, on August 26, 1998.
